Double-Raspberry Malt for Two
Offer chocolate truffles alongside or afterwards, with coffee or Champagne.
Herbal Tea
Teas are a wonderful way to use seasonal herbs, so experiment with your favorites. The measurements are flexible; depending on the freshness and strength of the herbs, you may need to add or subtract.
Atole de Piña
These nourishing atoles — fruit-flavored drinks thickened with corn tortilla flour — are served much like hot chocolate. They are warming on cold mornings or evenings.
Redneck Mimosa
When we first tasted this drink, it was made with Rolling Rock, a mass-market golden lager, and Tropicana-brand orange juice. A more highfalutin' version would be a combination of fresh-squeezed orange juice and a wheat beer, such as Celis White.
Iced Tea Sangria with Fresh Fruit
This is a refreshing drink for the cocktail hour. Use any kind of black tea you like; fruit-flavored ones are particularly nice.
