White Sangria with Peaches

A great alternative to red wine sangria and perfect for the summertime. This is a good place to use canned peaches.

Ingredients

One 750-ml bottle not-too-dry white wine, like Gewürztraminer or Riesling
1/4 cup Grand Marnier or other orange liqueur
1 lime, peeled and sliced
1 orange, peeled and sliced
1 cup sliced ripe fresh or canned peaches
1/2 cup Sugar Syrup (page 660), or to taste
Sparkling water

Preparation

  1. Step 1

    In a large pitcher, combine the wine, Grand Marnier, lime, orange, and peaches. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.

    Step 2

    Add the sugar syrup to taste. Serve in glasses with ice cubes and sparkling water
