Grits

Ingredients

Preparation

  1. Scorched

    Step 1

As soon as you discover that the grits are burned, transfer them to a new pot, leaving the burned part on the bottom of the old pot. Whatever you do, don’t scrape the bottom of the pot! Now, taste the grits. If they taste scorched, they’re ruined. When you start over, remember that grits need to be stirred regularly while cooking.

  2. Too dry

    Step 2

Add water 1 tablespoon at a time, stirring constantly until the desired consistency is reached.

  3. Too wet

    Step 3

You probably know that if they’re too wet, you should just keep cooking until they aren’t anymore.
