Active time: 30 min Start to finish: 6 hr (includes chilling)

Cooks' notes:

• A long serrated knife will cut neat slices without compressing or tearing cake. • Filling can be chilled up to 3 days. • Assembled cake improves in flavor if made 1 day ahead and kept chilled.

A dash of cocoa powder adds depth and richness to the broth of this easy turkey chili.
