This clubby Scotch drink was created at the old Waldorf Astoria in New York City.

Ingredients

2 oz Monkey Shoulder Scotch
3/4 oz Carpano Antica Formula sweet vermouth
1/4 oz Bénédictine
2 dashes Angostura bitters
Lemon peel

Preparation

  1. Combine all ingredients with ice in a cocktail shaker. Stir and strain into a chilled martini glass. Twist lemon peel to release oil and then use as a garnish.
